As we approach the days of the future, it's fascinating how rapid technology transforms. From cars reaching 100mph in 3 seconds, drones with flamethrowers, amphibious motorcycles to Richard Browning making the first body-controlled jet engine power suit. Now we have the Volocopter, it's a two-seater electric powered 18-rotor manned flying vehicle made by German firm Volocopter. The goal is to be the world's first flying taxi. Just like using the App Uber, book and ride but for this one. It has to have its own parking spot or "Voloport". For now, Volocopter has the flight time of 30 minutes and has the maximum distance of 17 miles when flying at the speed of 43 mph. The flying taxi can be controlled using via remote or manually with the easy-to-operate touchscreen and joystick control. It only takes about 120 minutes to fully charge the batteries at a power outlet. These facts sound crazy but you'll never know when this flies over your rooftop someday. Imagine taking your date from places to places or catching the sunset at your favorite beach. If everything pushes through with the flying taxis then transportation of the future will be endless.
